volunteer Park Terrace Gardens

The Volunteer Park Terrace Gardens project is located in one of Seattle’s oldest and most distinguished urban neighborhoods.  The site offers views to the west, towards the Olympic Mountains.  The property spans a city block, with almost 25-feet of grade change from one end to the other.  Spaces are formally composed with ample outdoor living and entertaining spaces.  A fire feature, outdoor kitchen, and small fountain serve as significant features.  Natural stone is used for terraces.  Gardens are mulched with gravel to blend people and planting spaces together.  Multi-seasonal plantings provide interest throughout the year.
